Time Flies|12.11.23 …

ELEVEN Days til the WINTER SOLSTICE. FOURTEEN days til Christmas. THREE weeks til 2024! Where does the time go?

TODAY, we awoke to 1) below freezing temps and 2) SNOW! YES! SNOW! Not much, just a dusting on slanted roofs, grassy areas and the deck & railings. A small and seasonable surprise.

Off and on, over this autumn season, I’ve been weeding both my book and fabric collections – a part of my goal to enter 2024 with “less is more.”

T’is a quiet 14 days ahead …and I really don’t have much – any?- prep or shopping to do. Just a couple projects to wrap up – pun intended – before holiday festivities kick in…

What’s on your to do list?

Cheers!

PS. This Friday my intention is to return with a “Simply A Moment” post.

  1. I have a rather long to-do list for this week to prepare to go away, but I’m happy to say that once we’re away, I am focusing on enjoying vacation — sleeping in, reading more, getting vitamin D, and being fully with family!

  3. This week my todo list includes baking! Olive oil brownies for our family Hanukkah Saturday and two kinds of cookies for a cookie exchange on Sunday. Hope your less is more is going well – that does sound like a nice way to begin 2024!

  4. I ought to find inspiration in your weeding. It constantly needs to be done. Lots on the to-do list. Decorating is mostly done. Shopping long ago finished. Most boxes packed to ship and leaving tomorrow. I’m a church music director. I’ll be conducting and/or playing 6 of the 7 services from Dec 23-25. Brass rehearsals this week. The plate is full this time of year. I crash and burn afterwards!!

  5. It’s good to hear from you. My month turned topsy turvy with an oven on the blink and my computer in the shop. So anyway, packages have been mailed and this week I hope to bake a few cookies and begin writing cards. I am also trying to find gentleness in the season.
