TGIF | 7.19.19 …

…’cause the thermometer’s scheduled to reach at least 98 degrees today and 100 degrees tomorrow …

Listening to Educated by Tara Westover – my new walking companion. Very interesting and I like the narrator’s voice …

Observing rush hour traffic, birds foraging …

Eating a mixed berry jam oat bar, tasty …

Feeling a cool breeze! Refreshing, if only momentary …

Home again:

Thinking about this afternoon’s agenda: Journal Club; hair appt; buy ink for printer; maybe a stop at the shopping mall across the street? …

Grateful for air conditioning, the ice maker and a shower ….

Inspired by this quote: “You don’t have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Fun looking forward to Sunday Friendstitching gathering; seems as though we’ve not met for months …

Wishing you the best weekend, ever… hoping it is cool!

Cheers~

  1. It all sounds very nice (except for those temps)! I also like that MLK quote, and will be thinking about it while I relax in the a/c later after a hot day of frustrating chores. Hope you can stay cool this weekend!

  2. Very hot here, too, but I imagine the humidity is worse for you. Educated was one of the top three books I read last year. Interestingly, all three were memoirs.

  3. That MLK quote… perfect timing! Thank you!

And, yes… stay cool. My weekend plans include sewing… indoors! This heat is really miserable!

  4. I have never read that MLK quote – but it is a good one for our times. I’ll be cool because I will be indoors. If I want to walk, I’ll have to be out the door bright and early. Have a good weekend.

  5. It was horrible here yesterday! My little trip out to B & N left me wilting by the time I got home. Today and tomorrow are going to be worse – oh boy!
