sometimes mondays | 7.6.20…

It is Monday and post to blog is always a staple. Most Mondays I do… As the day moved on, I found my energy fizzling, my list of must do projects/tasks growing and several creative projects forwarded to tomorrow ~ which is probably already overbooked. Ah, such is life.

I shall blame my inertia on the heat – low 90s. As I look out the window, I see a darkened sky, moving trees, a flash of lightning and off in the distance, hear the rumble of thunder. A summer storm … an invitation to bring this post to a close and to play some with the creative project I paused earlier this afternoon. Yep, I think that’s what I’ll do. Fingers crossed we don’t lose electricity!

Cheers~

  1. Beautiful day lilies!

We got some of those summer storms this afternoon too. It wasn’t too bad by our house, but just south of us in North Philadelphia, they got hammered. I hope you were able to keep your power.

  2. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get a thunderstorm today — we really need the rain! We don’t usually lose power (and I hope I didn’t just jinx myself), and rain would be a welcome change from the upper 90s we’ve had the past few days!

  3. I love those storms. But my computer and my phone have acted up. I get very disorganized and what not without my phone to text Al and ZACH I need my computer to catch up with my blog pals!

  4. Our Monday was spent in the car zipping through six states to get home. Luckily, it was a smooth ride, and although I already miss my Wisconsin family, I’m happy to be home. I found beautiful pink lilies in my garden as well as a wonderful and colorful assortment of zinnias and dahlias which are sitting in front of me in a red vase as I write this. Have a great week! (Hot here, too, but probably less humid than for you.)
