Circa 1 PM: I debated whether or not I would take a walk and decided, why not? I did and was I ever so grateful that I made that decision. The sky was clear, crystal blue; the fall foliage, breathtaking. Halfway from home, I realized I was also better than halfway to the Franciscan Monastery. I made a sharp left turn, walked six blocks north and was greeted by more of Mother Nature’s splendor: Breathtaking. Colorful. Awesome.

I have been thinking this all this past week, as we’ve been blessed with clear, sunny skies and above-average temperatures. The range of colors has been really spectacular, and seeing it all has felt like a reward for getting outside. I hope you have at least a few more walks to enjoy the spectrum before all the leaves fall!

Gorgeous photos, gorgeous colors! We have a lovely maple tree in our front yard with stunning color, but overall, the foliage has been pretty disappointing this year. Experts say too much rain and warmer temperatures are to blame. It was much more colorful driving through parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania than in New York.

Wow! So beautiful … You’ve captured stunning windows in time. I remember visiting Washington at the start of November about ten years ago and being wowed by the tree colours.
